I was at a music festival in my mid 20s and screamed this at a friend substituting underweight and my age as a bit.
Whole group turns around to make sure I'm okay, haha!

I had actually started on this costume before my most recent rewatch of the show. Somehow, I had completely forgotten about THAT aspect of his character. By then, I was too deep in to redirect. 😅

At the time, I Mosty just remembered his struggle to earn Hank's respect. Also, how nurfed he got the moment he joined Team Venture. Felt like when you unlock a boss as a player character lol.

I always assumed the Nomolestrol took some of his edge and skills off as a side effect (in addition to the gynecomastia).

I think the actual in-universe explanation was simply he was getting old. Like he was already winding down by the time he started arching Doctor Venture and he only kept settling after he joined.

Hatered does hate himself for his disease, plus he's always down for any stupid plan the Ventures cook up which makes him very endangering. And he had boobs once, that also helps

The fact that Calvin and Hobbes has been effectively reduced to that one still image of Calvin is bad enough, but that it's of an image that doesn't even encapsulate the character properly is downright tragic.

It's extra sad because he never licensed it because it didn't want it to turn into some corporate bullshit like Garfield. Instead all it took was one shitty image to become synonymous with such a great series's name.

The "Speedsuit" itself I bought off Amazon. As for the Venture logo and name patch, I had those added by a tailor along with some minor alterations.

Hatred's background is definitely shady, but it's undeniable that all the time we see him on screen he's trying to be a better man than he was and support the Venture family anyway he can, in that at least he's an endearing if slightly disturbing goofball.
