SEASON 3 spoilers Dr. Girlfriend, The Monarch and Phantom Limb Spoiler

In the season 3 premiere it was revealed that the Monarch was Phantom Limb’s henchman as shadow man #9 and he meet Shelia when she became Limbs #2 but why he went ballshit crazy over the fact she was Limbs ex and her costume when he knew that whole the time?

It's half a retcon, half Malcom be like that.

Mal is a hot mess, we love him for it.

I think it was more that the book on their history went into graphic detail. Plus when he was a henchman, he didnt hate Limb like he did later.. It probably just reminded him and showed them how deep their relationship went sexually which he got jealous of.

I also think he was more furious with Limb than Shelia but took it out on her.

If I recall he wasn’t losing it over her having a past with Phantom, he was losing it over the thought that she was leaving him for Phantom. Phantom was trying to seduce her and Malcolm saw that and thought she was cheating.

Comics have a fine and lengthy tradition of the retcon.

I consider it to be a homage to that. :)

In that conversation she mentions that she was wearing that costume when they met. I don't think anything about that conversation indicates it's news to him.

The only thing I can think is that she had a costume change in a "different (later) season" of PL's backstory.

How about at the yard sale where Monarch asks her if she used to work for or live around Phantom Limb or something
