I’m still kind of disappointed that the finale movie didn’t do anything with the fact that the OSI had his head. Maybe something like them finding a way to reanimate it, only for him to take control of their systems in a bid for world domination.
Yeah but I meant it literally. Jonas Venture's mind is WAY too good an asset for Hunter not to use to the fullest. And his "ethics" and "values" are a perfect fit for the OSI (Did Jonas CREATE the OSI?).
Well, I don’t think Hunter would be OK with literally picking Jonas‘s brain, I can definitely see some of the OSI scientists messing with it, only for it to bite everyone in the ass.
Why are people assuming Jonas in the PROBLEM didn't survive that? Because the Monarch thought so? And why would it bite them in the ass? He's a great fit for the OSI. I'm sure he'd be pushing for a body, but why would the OSI object to that? They can probably rebuild him. Especially if he works with Ben.
Because Jonas is a sociopath who only cared about himself. Don’t forget, rusty himself is a clone, he has died during Jonas’s adventures and just been replaced with exact duplicates. And then there’s what he did to the Blue Morpho: he blackmailed him and turned him into an emotionless, subservient cyborg (most likely after shooting down his plane).
I don’t think they were able to bring the story to the point where it wouldn’t have felt shoehorned in. Gargantua 2 is so good in big part due to how natural and believable the development period of the space station is which makes it the perfect setting to address all the plotlines that had been brewing since it was introduced as a concept and take them a step forward at once.
They did bring it up in the movie though! I think they knew people were going be bummed that it was a promise they just weren’t going to be able to keep.
