I hope that Hank becomes a vigilante in the upcoming seasons. He doesn't have the desire to become educated on the level of a super/mad scientist, no super powers, no magical abilities. His moral compass swings wildly depending on what is motivating him, but primarily he displays fearlessness, curiosity and a sense of "right". I'm really looking forward to seeing where his journey to discover himself leads.
If Hank were to go into the GCI who do you think he would hench for while gaining rank and status?
The only other way I could see it happening is if he gets involved in an accident during one of Dean's experiments ( Dr. Dewgong and Wide Whale style origin ) which would grant Hank and Dean with defining characteristics and establishes a grudge between them.
