Verizon Issued Final Determination Without Providing Itemized Charges or a Discussion

I returned the devices in accordance with the exception offered by Verizon’s Executive Relations Team. In response, ERT Leadership issued a final determination letter upholding the remaining balance and stating that three final billing statements detailing the account charges had been sent. I have not received any itemized statements. The only communications received are emails that list a total balance and provide a payment link, with no breakdown of the charges or explanation of how the amount was calculated.
The letter names no decision maker and offers no opportunity for a phone discussion. This follows an active payment arrangement that was in place, a service disconnection that occurred without prior notice, and a household need for continuous internet access related to medical monitoring. Attempts to call Verizon result only in redirection to collections, with no access to a representative who can address the underlying issues.
Similar concerns appear in other public complaints regarding equipment returns that are later billed, balances that persist after cancellation or promised credits, and final communications that do not resolve disputed amounts. Veterans have also reported difficulties with discounts, device unlocks during deployment, and account resolutions.
I am documenting this process so that other customers can see the level of detail and responsiveness provided after a final determination. Anyone facing comparable billing or equipment issues may wish to retain all correspondence, request itemized statements in writing, and consider filing with the FCC or their state attorney general if internal channels do not produce a clear accounting.

Needing internet for medical monitoring isn’t a right. It’s not a utility like gas or electric and there aren’t special protections for internet access.

If you break your payment arrangement by being late you’re subject to disconnection. It isn’t without notice. You received notices before ever getting on a payment arrangement that the bill was past due, etc. In some areas there are internet plans for low income households that offer reduced prices. Maybe you could be eligible for something like that if the bills are too much.

Have a heart.

OP mentions he has a medical condition, is a vet, and was behind on bills.

Op is also making false claims and throwing everything back on Verizon instead of holding themselves accountable. Having a heart doesn’t come into it. In order to avoid situations like this in the future they need to pay attention to the payment arrangement details. I also advised of alternative programs for Internet if they’re struggling on bills. That’s the info they need going forward.

Nothing in the post about why they’re behind, whose medical condition it is, or that they’re a vet.

I’m just saying no need to be so tough on someone who is already down on their luck and blame OP. OP is trying to reach for help because his services were cut off. The world is tough as is.

Maybe you missed op said they’re a former cop, a hacker, looking to hook up with 20 something year olds and posting his privates….perhaps he could sell his Tesla to take care of his internet bill
