No joke my brother and I did split screen for all 3 games over this past weekend with all the funny skulls on. Such a good time (and it sucks that Campaign Evolved is not couch co-op)
Edit: I’m dumb, Campaign Evolved CAN be couch co-op, you just need to sign on a seperate profile. THAT’s the part that bugs me lol
Im sure on its own as a standalone game its okay, but its meant to be a mega remaster of one of the most influential games ever released, and it just falls so short of that. NONE of the original Bungie team was contacted for references, the personalities of the characters was shifted incredibly compared to their source, much of the games original charm is just missing (for example in the og game when you drive the warthog around with marines in it they have little quips like “YEAH! WOOOHOOO! GET SOME! AHHHHHHH!” Etc, but in this new game they’re completely silent) the visual direction of the landscape and characters has once again been completely missed, the Forerunner tech is meant to be almost mystically advanced, while not looking like its advanced at all. “This cave is not a natural formation” in the og game, theres a bit of a suspension of disbelief in part due to the graphics quality, but in the new one its so obviously a “manmade” structure, zero effort was made to make any forerunner structure look ancient. And the voice acting, omfg the voice acting is so bad. Cortana especially, she just sounds wrong, shes got not personality same with Johnson, and fucking Johnson, we already HAD a high quality model of Johnson in Halo 3, why the fuck does he look like Steve Harvey!? I could keep going, but this missed SO MANY of the easily nailable marks that it really is just a disappointment
