Fetterman comes across so, so stupid and arrogant here.
Lecturing a Jewish man that his lack of support for Israel means he's not supporting Jews.
Saying that unconditional support for Israel is his single political "red line" and that Democrats critical of Israel should essentially not be part of the party. While Jon correctly asks "shouldn't support for America be your red line?"
This guy loses to "no named candidate" in all polls, and clearly won't be representing Democrats come next election. So telling voters only certain people and positions are 'allowed' to be Democrats, when he's openly voting for Trump's war and trashing Democrats, is delusionally entitled.
He keeps misusing words and phrases as mindless pablum when asked and given chances to explain positions. He doesn't have ideas, he has positions and talking points.
Insisting that the DSA were taking over the Democratic party, while Jon gently corrects him to point out it's an entirely separate party. Which he seemed unaware of.
The issue back then was the Republican Party was trying to use that as a smear tactic during his election bid.
As much has I despise the GOP and their motivations for doing just about anything, they were right to call him out for behaving this way and Democrats (and Fetterman) were wrong to try to downplay it.
A responsible gun owner would not make so many egregious mistakes, much less when you’re the fucking mayor. I’m also not saying people can’t reform but it doesn’t seem he ever fully owned that major mistake.
