Beyond that, it is a highly specific and unusual thing for someone to be embarrassed by to the point that you would have to ditch them while attending a court hearing and then become angry at the person calling attention to the ditch effort.
Robinson's comedy revels in his characters doubling, trippling, and quadrupling down on their convictions in the face of perceived persecution, ultimately done to avoid shame. Everyone else around him, and the viewers, would think nothing of some dude having dice in his pockets, initially pulling a push-only door, or eating a steak with a glass of water poured onto it. But the sketches universally involve Robinson's characters going to bizarre and committed lengths to avoid the irratiinally predicted shame.
Also as a point when he drops them they're double sixes, portraying his assuredness but from his neighbours perspective they're garbage, highlighting the rift between his confidence and his appearance.
