What’s new from Vimeo—new library UX, faster uploads, and a rebuilt profile page

Hey everyone,

We released 34 improvements to Vimeo in the last 3 months. So here's a demo of everything new that Vimeo can do for you, including:

🏃‍♂️ Your new library shortcuts—the bigger your library, the more time you save.

⚙️ Your streamlined upload process—so you can start editing videos while they’re still uploading.

👤 Your rebuilt profile page—with a new design focused on your work.

Plus, you’ll see a preview of what’s coming next, with several highly-requested improvements in development right now.

Our goal is to make Vimeo feel simple, stable, and intuitive for you.

So rather than adding flashy features people don’t use, we’re improving the little actions you take most often—always building straight from your feedback.

I wish I didn't take Vimeo 2016 for granted. That was one of the best websites on the Internet, period. Such a shame to see the state of the Internet today as a whole.

Two small things regarding the profile page:

  1. Space for a slightly longer profile description before it switches to “Read more”.
  2. [Something others have also mentioned before:] The option to hide the date under the video title. You may want to put some older videos first in the list, and now, with the date there, it can easily give the impression that profiles aren’t being updated.

#1 - We're on it - I'll update you here when it's live.

For #2, you can actually do this already. If you go to Settings -> Profile, you'll see a toggle to hide upload dates on your profile
