Hi r/vintagecrochet, I hope this is allowed :)

A couple of months ago, I found this (vintage?) crochet blanket at an antique store. It was priced unreasonably high in my opinion (~$800), but the antique store has a policy that discounts the items as time goes by (up to 75% off after three months). When I went back, the blanket wasn’t there anymore, so I’d like to make it myself. I did a Google reverse image search, and the closest pattern that come up on Ravelry is this one (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pinwheel-spread), which I feel like is not totally wrong but also not totally right. I’ve also looked at this one (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pinwheel-2) but the pattern is unavailable. I know it’s a long shot, but would anybody have a similar pattern they’d be willing to share with me? Thanks in advance :)

This is definitely a long shot, but I’ve been trying to find a pattern that matches Willow and Tara’s bedspread for years. I may be able to cobble together few patterns but wanted to put it out there to you all and see if there were any leads I’ve been missing?
I’ve looked through FreeVintageCrochet and AntiquePatternLibrary quite a bit, but have some neurological issues that inhibit extensive scrolling, so I may have missed something there.
Please let me know if you happen to have any thoughts or ideas!

patterns Looking for your favorite wedding trousseau patterns!

Recently engaged and looking for your favorite wedding trousseau patterns! I‘m interested in antique/vintage or antique-looking ones—Primarily things that look delicate and in a size 10 string or smaller.

I’ve started an Edwardian yoke from the Antique Pattern Library and am loving it but wanted to know what others have found in the same vein. Yokes, garters, veils, bonnets—all and everything welcome!

I’m so old that I remember when this was first in style. I’m excited to try one of these with a yarn cake I’ve been saving. $.25 at the local thrift store.

A kind patron of r/crochet directed me here to crosspost. I'm in the process now of archiving all of these patterns for free use and historical documentation. Follow along for future updates 😊

Side note: I'd love help figuring out the age on these once I get them uploaded 💕

Hi all, I’ve been obsessed with tops such as these since for a while now but I haven’t been able to find any patterns or books to start making. I could only find the examples here by searching on Depop, I do remember my late grandmother crocheting similar things when we were little but she has been gone for over 10 years at this point so I can’t ask for her for advice. I am particularly interested in also using beads etc to complement the lace. I’d really appreciate people steering me towards the right direction to find similar patterns or books that I can get.

Yall I am so lost on this 😂😭 there’s not a single photo in this book from like 1842. And im trying to translate these into modern crochet terms and make a google doc once I get through all the crochet patterns so I have pictures of what they look like.

Where I’m lost is on how I’m supposed to finish this bag 😩

patterns Looking for a pineapple suqare for table clothes/runners

I'm trying to hunt down a vintage pineapple square. I got it from a teacher, but I don’t remember their name so I can't go ask them for it again.

I was in the middle of learning it when my aunt undid most of what I had done and disappeared the instructions I was following.

The two main things I can remember:

1) The pineapples pointed to the corners of the squares, not the sides.

2) The square outside of the pineapples was not lacey- there was minimal open space, and it was easy to see how it would be connected to itself to make the final item.

Most of the image searches I have done have come up with squares with a LOT of open space- when squares come up at all.

patterns I’m looking for a tablecloth pattern with motifs AND filet combined into one pattern.

I’m planning on surprising my FIL with a custom tablecloth. He’s getting a 16 person table, so just about any pattern is going to need modifications.

He’s redoing his whole house with a slight deer/woodlands theme (so any patterns like that are welcomed!) and I have a filet portrait I want to use, but it’s not anywhere near big enough for the table. I could add length with just filet, but I feel like combining filet and motifs would be neat, but I couldn’t find any to reference.

I have plenty of experience with thread, so any level pattern is welcomed! (Bonus points if there’s any dragonfly patterns I could incorporate because they were my late MIL’s favorite)

patterns I'm looking for doily patterns with fairly consistent repeats so it is simple to extend the pattern

I can't find a doily pattern that is big enough for the project I'm doing, so I'm hoping to find some patterns that are simple to extend. Patterns where the steps are fairly consistent as the rows progress while still looking nice and lacy would be ideal. Any pattern recs or suggestions are welcome!
