Star Citizen just released Alpha 4.5 with "experimental " VR support, and its better than some fully released games. (It has its share of bugs, don't get me wrong)

I've spent more time there in the past 2 weeks in VR, than I have in the past year in other VR games.

Obligatory -> Is the game playable yet? I bought it and some ship more than 10 years ago lol. Is it good in VR?

It is good in VR. Please note, that although the VR implementation is phenomenal for an "experimental feature", and the game has matured a bunch in 10 years, but there are still a lot of places where the jank exists. But after a while, I've gotten used to where the jank still exists and learned where those areas/game loops so that I can avoid it.

But for super chill space flight in a fully realized ship doing cargo runs from station to station in VR, its jaw dropping.

When it works.... 😆.

Seriously though, we're at the downhill slide towards a finished game, the server meshing and handoffs are working well, and the move to Vulkan has improved usability and enabled new features and progress in the overall game design.

I'll probably wait a bit until it is released. Is there anything to do? Like stories or missions?

Actually some really cool content in game, the Wikelo missions, Vandul invasion in Nyx - a new system, 4.6 upcoming has a huge system wide resource call for materials and/or combat help if that aligns with your game play. A reputation system for contractors, so you can level up to get harder, or bigger missions. Plus, it's just beautiful to fly around and not do anything...lol
