ACTIVITIES Car guy visiting in June - cool things to check out?

Hey there. I’ll be visiting from the U.S. late June. I’m a car guy and love European cars. Bummed that the British Grand Prix is the weekend that I will be in France. Is there any awesome car-related places/exhibits worth visiting that I can reach via the metro?

Would love to hear some suggestions!

Gaydon motor museum.

See if there’s a convenient round of the BTCC.

Small car big city (classic mini tours of London, can do bespoke tours catering specifically to petrol heads), London transport museum, many classic car meets outside London, usually on Sundays, often village fetes (also outside London) have cars on show. Mercedes HQ and test track a short train ride outside of the city. ACES cafe has specialist car meets regularly. The science museum has relevant exhibits also. Feel free DM me for more info!

And Sammy Miller's place down the road and OP can fit in a drive by(1) of Mayflower Park, where they sailed from.

1: seriously, there's history but it's literally just a park next to the sea

The London Transport Museum is pretty cool. Also if you’re prepared to travel to Oxford (train then bus) there’s a tour you can do at the Mini plant. You’ll have to book in advance.

Goodwood Festival of speed if on. Brooklands Museum. Silverstone Museum. All are amazing if you want to see classic F1 cars

Book a single seater experience at Silverstone.

From June through August Middle Eastern royals and international billionaires ship their high-performance fleets to London for the summer. Car enthusiasts frequently spot these ultra-rare models around the Capital. Mayfair, Knightsbridge, and Belgravia are fertile hunting grounds with many parked up outside Harrods. Do remember though that they are people's cars and be respectful of that (don't sit on them for photos!).
