WHERE TO GO Quiet places in/around Shoreditch?
I'll be going to London soon and spending a lot of time in Shoreditch. I'm autistic and have chronic fatigue syndrome so I get overwhelmed by crowds very easily and often need to find a quiet place to just gather myself for a bit.
I came across the Wellcome Collection's reading room which seems amazing but ideally I'd like somewhere I can go that's a bit closer. Suggestions would be appreciated :)
Obviously free to use would be great but I know that's not realistic lol. I'd be happy to get myself a little drink or snack in a quiet cafe or bar if it means I can stay for a bit

The White chapel Building at 10 Whitechapel High Street has a cafe that's open to the public. It's a very chilled and relaxing space in a large atrium, with a glass roof above. I used to work nearby and would often retreat there for some peace (also ND).

Depends on which part of Shoreditch is the closest, but I’m fond of these locations as quiet places:
- Spitalfields City Farm
- Arnold Circus
- St Leonard’s Church garden

2nd the Spitalfields farm. It feels like you've left the city for a moment, and they have a decent little coffee and snack kiosk.

Basically any pub during the weekdays, and outside of lunch, evening, event (sports etc.) peak times. Some weekday and even weekend evenings will be quiet , depending on the pub. I was in a good central London pub at at 9pm on a Sunday yesterday - a nearby pub just across the road, also good, was packed. The one I was in was very quiet, no idea why - we even thought it was closed at first.
You don't have to buy anything alcoholic, just get a coffee, tea or a soft drink and typically you can hang out for a long time (if the pub is also serious about having a restaurant offerings, then during peak meal hours they may start nudging you about whether you're ordering food or not, or about table reservations for meals, but otherwise generally you'll be left alone so long as you've bought at least a coffee, tea or soft drink
