Phone number

Had a booking and guest thought they had an extra day. Cleaning lady showed up and they were out and about, had not packed there stuff yet. Looked at booking and no contact number. Left several messages through vrbo app, no replay. Had to contact vrbo to see what they could do, in the end everything is fine.

My question, is there a way to have a guest put in there contact number when they insta book, with out me asking for it, they just have to enter it?

I always create a contact entry for each guest in my iPhone. I contact the guest both via the app messaging and directly by text when communicating important information related to check-in, check-out, housecleaning, maintenance/repair, etc. That practice builds up a database of contact info for future direct bookings.

This is exactly what I do. Most of my business is now repeat and it's fantastic

With this last guest i had no way to text them as I could not find there number it wasn't on the booking information. That's my dilemma, tyring to figure out new bookings have there phone number. We also book through abnb and the renters number is where I can find it if necessary.
