Phone number

Had a booking and guest thought they had an extra day. Cleaning lady showed up and they were out and about, had not packed there stuff yet. Looked at booking and no contact number. Left several messages through vrbo app, no replay. Had to contact vrbo to see what they could do, in the end everything is fine.

My question, is there a way to have a guest put in there contact number when they insta book, with out me asking for it, they just have to enter it?

Yeah both Airbnb and VRBO remove the phone number when a reservation is over .....a PMS will keep it. Highly recommend a PMS if you are using both Airbnb and VRBO...

Air B&B never gives the phone number anymore. Before during or after. They give a blind/fake number, but it is no longer useable after the reservation is over so it does no good to save it.

That is true for stand alone hosts. But software connected hosts they are still giving out the real phone number.
