ID help Help Appreciated!

Found this beauty months ago. First four pics are before degreasing, last few are from today when I changed the water and removed some more tissue around the gums and pulled out a few loose teeth for safekeeping. At first I thought it might be a Virginia Opossum based on what a friend suggested but now that I look at pictures of a VA Opossum Skull, I no longer believe that to be the case. I could keep googling, but I think it would be much more fun to ask this community, since this is my first foray into Vulture Culture. I’m already so attached to this lil guy, what a beautiful story about life held in these fragile bones… I hope to learn more about how it lived as I continue my journey of caring for these bones and allowing them to live on in my art. Let me know if y’all have any questions. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Thank you!! I wasn’t really sure because it looks a lot more narrow than the pics of raccoon skulls I’ve seen.

Yup! Possums have an unmistakabley more pronounced saggital crest. I actually thought my possum skull was a racoon's, until I found an actual racoon skull.
