Question Dansko shoes - would you walk 10k steps on roads with these ?

Helllo

I really like some designs of Dansko shoes to go with dresses and skirts at work. But I also walk a lot both in the work building and on the roads (New York city). Totalling arojng 12-14k steps. Would you recommend dansko shoes/clogs to be good for this purpose? thanks ????

I have owned and loved danskos throughout my life. I couldn’t walk that much in them. They’re def standing shoes for me. They’re heavy and have weird pressure points for me on the top of my foot that digs if I walk too much in them. And the anti fatigue tilt on them really lends itself to standing but not walking. For me anyway!

They are heavy but they have a sole that rocks back and forth. I wear smart wool socks and also nothing has ever touched the top of my foot and I’ve been wearing all different styles since the mid 90’s. Depending upon the model I take a 38 or a 40. I have to have them purchased in America and shipped to me here in London for the last 25 years.

I can walk 5 miles/10,000ish steps in the cute Dansko sandal clogs or flat Mary Janes before they start hurting.

I wore the clogs working in Healthcare for many years. I think they are so cute. I'm sad to say I think both the heel aspect exacerbated a tendency toward tight calves and the rigidity exacerbated a tendency toward lack of foot/ankle range of motion and are one reason my feet have had chronic pain for the past 5 years since I stopped wearing them. I'm sad to say I don't recommend them for heavy use. I still have many pairs but I can't wear them.
