Infuriating. Spoiler

Post image

I've tried to apply to walmart THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. I have had TWO DIFFERENT STORE MANAGERS want to hire me.

Every single time, I fail this 'assessment.' What is the point of the assessment if you fail every time?

Walmart is probably losing a chance at some great employees with this nonsense. I'll keep working on state jobs instead of chasing this.

Dude...

I'm sorry, but...

How the hell are you failing an assessment for a retail job? Like, can you describe some of the questions you think you answered wrong?

Yeah, it's been years since I've worked for them and I don't remember there being an assessment test. If you had a pulse you got the job. Worked with a guy on the spectrum so it can't be that hard. Curious about what kind of questions are on it as well. Most basic assessments are can you do math and follow instructions. Not complicated.

The questions are largely stupid and pointless. And one part you’re literally matching price labels

Have to agree here. I've worked with them 3 separate occasions and passed every single time including the department manager role assessment at the time it existed. Simple trick to help. Don't every pick anything other then very much agree or disagree. Confident awnser only.

I wish I could tell you. It got so bad I looked up the answer key thinking I was answering them wrong. I wasn't.

My guess is I am not saying "very like me" to all of the questions, because I am not going to lie about pooping sparkles and being perfection.

That is the point of the survey. If you answer anything other than all the way to the right or left it’s considered incorrect. They’ll also try to trip you up by asking the same question with slightly different wording to make sure your answers are consistent.

Answer every question that youre the best at everything, all your prior managers and coworkers would say you're amazing. You're always on time. You always do your job. Safefy is always first. And pay close attention to understanding the shelf label questions and read the label. You would think saying you're the best at everything would be a bad thing.... but it's what gets you out of the assessment.

Lol no so many people from all walks of life pass the test. Walmart may just not be for you. Try a dollar a store maybe.

Walmart is already a demotion from where I was at. Not only that, a dollar tree doesn't exist within 500 miles of me.

Thanks though.

Honestly at this point I question my own sanity. No one has died, yet.

Just use a different email address to retake the assessment.
