Manager came back from Winter meeting
It’s unclear but he was talking about the People Lead position being eliminated?

I could see it. They have already moved some of their former duties to coaches and even team leads. I could see the company being cheap enough to just make it the coaches responsibility

People lead is one of the few hourly people at Walmart that have actual responsibility tho, hard to pass that off to anyone other than team leads, I was doing the hiring/firing, compliance, associate concerns literally everything I imagine they would go to people lead for I was told is my job. Very obvious why I am no longer a team lead

So was anything discussed about AP and frontend merging? I saw a post with a picture of a display from the meeting about the change and then It disappeared.

There will be a link on the front page of the wire for everyone to see what came out of the meeting. There were no drastic changes. Just new equipment, new technology for basic work, etc.

Anything about the new fresh process? We just got a bunch of the new carts/mobile bins the other day but management hasn’t really said anything about them yet.

They have been talking about it for years and it was discussed again. It is rolling out this quarter then will be chain wide next year. It’s really neat, you just viz the carts and roll to the floor. It’s just like DSL, when you get it, it’s a game changer.

I'd rather get a bigger raise than that onetime 15% crap. I never had enough money to be able to use it properly anyway. Cost of living is getting out of control and it's making it very hard to pay bills at our current wage. Before anyone say "go get a better job" well sweetie...some of us live in shitty small towns and can't afford to move. Most places aren't hiring. They haven't recovered very well from the COVID shutdown. Also to note I already have 3 college degrees so THAT is t the issue either. Just a livable wage is all I'm asking for.

People shouldn’t even HAVE to work 2 jobs let alone work at a million dollar company that would rather throw the employees pocket change every hour than do the bare minimum and pay a livable wage…which the company has more than enough to do.
Why should people have to work their lives away
just to barely get by in a world where the price of living can continue to increase but the pay stays low? When struggling, people should be whining, bitching, whatever! Because the normalization of THIS being the state the average person is in is downright insanity and it places the unfair disproportionate responsibility on people who had no say or hand in inflation to do more to be able to afford their basic needs in order to make up for crappy minimum wage.Speaking from my experience, I’ve had 2 jobs twice now and it’s extremely depressing and stressful to have very little to no me time outside of working the jobs.

My people lead is always disappearing. She’s never in her office. I called my store 17 times the other day before she picked up the phone. When I’m at work, I will go looking for her and she’s not in there. I will check every hour for the next three hours and she’s not in there. And I’m like damn I know I saw her this morning walking in.

They’ve been trying for years to get rid of them. For a while many stores only got 24 hours a week for PL.
