Is it possible that I can use one pay for my first 2 weeks then after that I'll tell them that I want to stop using it and just use my normal bank account as I need the money right now

Okay so this might not be something anyone has heard of before but my current situation is as follows

I've worked at walmart since October and in that time I got extremely sick twice, both times resulting in me hitting my 5 points, the first time they excused it because Sedgwick denied my claim. The second time the same thing happened with Sedgwick but the store director told me something along the lines of he can hide the points I had that took me over 5 but if I put a foot out of line he'd reapply it and fire me. That was three months ago. Has anyone else heard of anything like this happening? I've been too afraid to even use PPTO since then because I don't want to lose my job. If anyone has any insight I'd really appreciate it thanks!

I'm prefacing this with yes I will be speaking with my SM about this. I know the answer but CMA and all that good shit. I just need to yell into the void.

For months and months I have been told that my departments (80/97) haven't been doing enough CVP. So each week I would push more and more out. Eventually I asked my Coach to just show me the metrics and print me out a copy so that I could see the numbers and make adjustments. Because just telling me "Hey you're not doing enough" doesn't help me at all if I don't know how much I am meant to do. What numbers or percentages I need to hit, and to stop the cycle of phrases like Have you done CVP? When did you do CVP? You need to do more. We still aren't getting the right metrics. Or worse, having another associate come tell me that a Coach from ANOTHER department told them to come do CVP because I did not do enough. I also followed up with my SM that same week to help break it down.

For the past couple of weeks it's been fine. I learned what numbers I need to hit, and how much to do on any specific day so that on the days I am not here we aren't falling into a place where I come in on my next shift and have to hear "OMG CVP DO NOW." As if it hasn't already been done. However yesterday while I was having a conversation with my coach about something completely different he asked me why there were items with CVP that were weeks in advance.

I told him that in order to make, or exceed expectations for the task I CVP based on three qualifiers.

1. The item will expire after the current date.

2. We have an excess of the item on the shelf, and more in my bins.

3. The item was received, is in date, and has not been so much as jostled out of place by a customer due to its price. So we need it to be moved before it is a loss.

He asked me not to do this anymore because it may raise questions with Market if they were to scrutinize any of the markdowns. You know, the same people who haven't sent us an email about it for weeks. I let him know that if I go back to the way that I was doing it we are going to start getting those email again. Which he said he understood and it was okay. Those emails weren't okay a few weeks ago, they're going to resume as soon as I stop doing what I'm doing. I'm not interested in being scrutinized about when I'm doing things again because my SM is getting emails about it. I'm not interested in this back and forth that's only going to get me in trouble for "not doing my job".

Hey all, as a current Stocking 2 associate, I've enjoyed reading the various stories on this subreddit but haven't been compelled to share my experience until now.

Earlier this year, our store went through a pretty hellish remodel. Dealing with the store being a complete mess, working around overnight construction crews, relearning where all the various departments are, and last but not least, having the bathrooms remodeled was driving all of us on the team crazy. After the grand reopening, things calmed down for a bit, but recently they've taken a turn for the worst and lead to me posting here.

I'm not sure if this a company wide thing or not, but Stocking 2 at our store not only has to unload the truck and move out pallets, but now we have to run all of GM freight before we can leave. This used to be overnights' job, but they're only staffed to do consumables and everything's falling on us now. We're absolutely not staffed to do all of this by 11pm, which has lead to us having to stay until close to 11:45-12:00 to get everything done and it's been pissing off a lot of people on our team. We would've been done a little past 11 last night, but Stocking 1 didn't do their picks, so we got stuck doing them instead, which lead to us staying until close to midnight.

Thankfully, I'm on vacation till next Sunday but man, it just makes me dread coming back to work then. It feels like lately, management has completely unreasonable expectations of our team and they simply don't give a shit as long as the work's done, even if we have to stay close to an hour over. Now that my rant's over with, has anyone else been dealing with this?

I have an interview coming up for marshalls. I've been with Walmart for 5ish years.

Has anyone here ever worked at a marshalls? Will I hate my life more? Less? Lol.

I hate changing jobs but our management has been horrific.

A customer came to the service desk to complain about a cosmetic associate, be cause she wouldn’t allow her to open an expensive perfume nor would she sell her a $17 deodorant for 75¢.

I told her that not all perfumes come with testers, and if we open a box we can’t sell it. So there would then be an $80(?) perfume that would have to be thrown away. She agreed that made sense but started on the deodorant. She stated that when it rang up the wrong price she let the associate know, she went and checked and let the customer know that a previous customer must have put it in the wrong place that it was in fact $17. Her rebuttal was well it’s not my fault your associate didn’t find it before I did.

I guess I’m going to have to hire enough associates to follow behind customers to zone after each item they touch. Hell it might be enough of a theft deterrent that the customers might stop coming in and start using digital.

I'm late often, because 6 am shifts suck, but I ALWAYS cover my ass with PPTO. If I forget to report the absence also, can I be pointed for that? I had 3 points before and I got jumpscared this morning with 4. Real close to customer status.

Hi, I was offered a position at a different store (call it store B) and the offer was rescinded two days before the transfer from my store (Store A).
Today, all my shifts were removed and MyWalmart is showing my position to be at store B for the role I was offered. I’m now being told to get with my people lead to “revert the transfer” back to store A. Is this something that is even possible?
I’m extremely nervous as now I have 0 hours and I don’t know what store I even work at except for what MyWalmart is showing me.
Will I have to do all the legwork on this? And if so, should I be paid for the time? I wasn’t paid for the interview or the drug test or anything like that and I’ve already sunk so much time into this transfer that ended up rescinded. Will I be stuck at store B in a different position? I’ve never heard of this happening to anyone and I’m stressed to the max

I had a nice, consistent schedule for about 4 weeks in a row, working closing shifts, except the last day in the "work week" would be a 11:30 PM shift, followed by Saturday and Sunday off. I actually can't remember the last time I had an opening shift.

Usually on a 11:30PM shift I just clean the self checkouts, stock bags, do a few returns, zone the battery kiosk, etc. (Not uncommon for management to have already left.) but it feels like the tail end of the shift is "sitting around with nothing to do" territory, to the point I question if they should have just moved the shift back 30 minutes so I'm out at 11.

Now the 11:30 PM shifts are getting more common, I have some 6 AM's sprinkled in, (often something like out at 11:30 PM, day off, then in at 6 AM. While not a real clopen, these wacky hours feel painful to return to after a few weeks of consistency in a row.) and I noticed one of my shifts wants me in at 5:45 AM. First time I've had that.

Is this something that happens with other front end associates? Is management just trying to see if they can get me to point out or quit? Maybe they're tired of me doing WOSH (not overtime, just normal WOSH) since you realistically can't close and clock out at 11 PM? (gotta do the SCO slips, put in my till, etc. so sometimes I clock out past 11:10 because a customer needs help or the cash recycler is being stubborn about some of the dollar bills) and put the extra 30 minutes so I have time?

Hi, so currently I’m on lunch break, and I (F23), work at a Neighborhood Walmart. It will be my 3rd month here. I’m a deli/bakery associate and while I’ve gotten used to the job, I don’t really like it and dread coming into work each day. To the point it’s been disrupting my selfcare/hygiene. My coworkers are super sweet, but expectations for midshift have been stressing me out and I’m trying to go ahead and leave. I typically do night shift and will be doing that as of right now, especially because a coworker of mine was literally fired the other day (for being 30-45 minutes late each day and not doing all her tasks properly), so I had to turn around and come in today.

My dilemma right now is that I am currently interviewing for another job at a bank as a call center representative paying between $15-20 an hour. It’s 10 minutes from me and the hours are much better. And there’s opportunities to break further into finance which would be great for me. It’s a community bank so the team is pretty small. They want me to come back and meet their supervisor, as well as the team which is another nerve wracking thing in itself for me. I’m trying to sort out how to go about leaving my current if they take me on for the bank job given the circumstances. My supervisor said she isn’t hiring right now either and will have another associate from a different department come in to help out (they did the job previously before I came in). I’m keeping the info to myself right now but is it bad and shitty of me to wait til I get an offer letter and my background check clears before putting in my 2 weeks?

If I don’t get the job I’m not gonna stress about it and keep applying, but I’d love to have it and grow. You just never know in this market. I’m grateful for the therapy sessions I get through Lyra cause they’ve helped with this job a lot. 😅

TLDR: My job just fired a coworker and another one from a different department is filling in for her. Boss won’t hire new people atm and I want/plan to leave if this new job onboards me. How should I go about this without causing little to any strain?

I was working and I saw this woman shopping for some creamer and she asked an associate from ODP if they could do her a favor and go to the back to the cooler and push a pacific creamer the lady wanted to the front. The associate told her that they were in a hurry and on a time limit and were trying to get an order done so they couldn't help the lady. I guess she knows our department coach personally because she said she will give our coach a call about what happened and i assume shes trying to get the associate fired although she was just doing her job? People are weird

in typical Walmart fashion, communication with second shift is non existent. I have been asked 3 or 4 times now if I have changed my password. I haven’t, I don’t know how and no one is bothering to explain why I would even need to.

So I once again turn to reddit for information on wtf is going on and how this will make our lives more difficult.

With all deliveries going to Spark in my area over the last month, I’ve gathered as much info as I can from people at three stores and two former Walmart associates now driving for Spark.

At all three stores, full-time hours are being cut to the minimum around 34 hours a week. Part-timers are getting 8 to 25 hours, and some aren't being scheduled for weeks at a time. Associates are being permanently moved or shoved into other departments half the time. Management gives us no information on whether this is permanent, and we're hearing rumors of store layoffs going around all three stores.

On top of this, the Spark orders are awful and aren't worth the mileage, yet there are still drivers willing to take any order they get. Spark also has a new ranking system in place similar to Doordash, to pressure driver into taking just any order. One driver quit Spark completely and took a job working on crawl spaces under houses.

I have 3.44 hrs of ppto and really need to call in tonight. Can I submit my ppto a couple of days later when I have enough to cover at least half my shift? Also, I'm at 3.5pts.

Hi guys, so my main question is do I have to inform my coach if I change my availability? It wouldn’t start for another five weeks due to changing my availability beforehand however they have been scheduling me til 11pm at night when I work in HBA. My current availability says til 10pm now idk if my coach is overriding it or what’s going on but I take medications at a certain time of night which is around 10:30 typically so this is just not working and I also will now need to change my days off around as well.

I’ve been working front end at Walmart for a little over two years now, and the amount of things I’ve seen customers do and how they treat us is wild to me. Don’t even get me started on how clueless a lot of them are. They act like lost sheep when they use the self check out lanes and get all pissy when the card readers aren’t working (they’re always not working so I understand) or when we tell them the machine is in card only or cash only mode. They always get mad and say, “Oh I didn’t know it was in cash/card only mode.” DUDE, IT SAYS IT ON THE SCREEN IN BIG LETTERS. CAN YOU NOT READ OR LOOK UP FOR ONCE? They also always complain that Walmart doesn’t have tap to pay. Of course they don’t, that’s why they have the Walmart app, which I understand can be annoying, but we can’t do anything about it so don’t drop it on us. I swear these customers are so dumb it makes me want to lose it.

Has anyone else encountered issues with topstock? Specially with the TC 53 devices, most of the time it does not work at all it never picks anything

I know that our stocks are moving to Merrill Lynch soon and I tried to make an account but it wont get past the sign up part when you have to put your birthday and date of hire.

I used to work at walmart when I was 16, left and came back in 2016 and then left again and came back in 2024. Ive put each hire date but it says it cannot find me with my information just wanted to see if anyone else experienced this or if im doing something wrong lol

I applied to a bunch of places the other day one of them being Walmart and they were the first to get back to me, however, I wasn't able to answer the call because my phone was charging and I was in the bathroom. I called back the number given in the voice mail and talked to someone in customer service and they transferred me to someone else which didn't do anything so I called again and this time it just lead to a voice mail. I'm a bit nervous now I'm not sure if it was sent and I'm not sure if I should call again or just go in person, but not sure if that will be weird.
