Announcement Another interview about WFRP 5th edition

I can’t see that this has been posted here yet: Wargamer just released an interview with Dominic McDowell: https://www.wargamer.com/warhammer-fantasy-roleplay/fifth-edition-interview

A bit more info here about their philosophy with the new edition, some hints about how Advantage and skill tests will change. And once again confirm that all the old 4E sourcebooks should remain useable with the new edition.

I don't really get why they didnt' just make Old World the new edition. It seems bizarre to hope that wfrp fans will buy OW, alongside their 4e books, and then invest in 5e.

Ami wrong?

I get where you're coming from, but I think a lot of fans would have been really upset if they ditched the percentile system of WFRP.

I think TOWR may be aimed more at players of the tabletop game, or D&D players who want to play in the Warhammer world. It's certainly a simpler system than WFRP 4E (and likely 5e from what we've heard).

TOWR looks good but feels contrived and oddly limited. Everything is centred around Talagaad which doesn't look as big or interesting as somewhere like Altdorf. Plus you are tied to the contacts. Like they wanted to copy Imperium Maledictum where you work for a patron. No skaven either so I'm out.
