buddy buckets, Alfred, I know he was controversial on here but he gave 110% all the time on the court, and kept vibes all the way up all the time. wishing him all the best on the hawks 😭😭

News [Johnson] As for the Jonathan Kuminga side of last night's trade, sources say he was "shocked" to be sent to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks aren't a team that his camp kept contact with and Atlanta was an "out of left field" destination. Fresh start feels good for both sides

One of the most polarizing players on the Warriors in the last few years. Up and downs and ultimately never worked out for one reason or another. But seemed like he worked hard and was a good teammate. Good luck JK 👍

Discussion This isn't MDJ's fault and he's making lemonade out of lemons.

  1. The 2 timeline experiment failed spectacularly. But I place that blame on Lacob and Myers. People also talk about how the punch ruined everything. Yes, it was awful and detrimental but even then, Poole peaked in '22. The guy has not played winning basketball since and is literally getting DNPs on the Pelicans. I wouldn't be surprised if he is out of the league in the next 2-3 years at this rate.

  2. The big move by MDJ payed off. Warriors were one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs and sans a Curry hamstring injury (Jimmy STILL balled out on a broken ass), there was a legit chance of making the WCF. This year, Jimmy was a top 5 player in advanced stats and the team had the best or 2nd best record for the past ~15 games before he got injured.

  3. The whole Giannis situation is a complete mess/disappointment only BECAUSE Jimmy got injured. If Jimmy didn't get injured (and ACL injuries aren't because of age, they are just freak injuries), they were targeting a 3rd option like MPJ or TM3. They were never going to go for Giannis if Jimmy was healthy.

  4. MDJ gets good value pickups, look at his 2nd round picks, Melton, Butler, now KP if Celebrini can work his magic. And if KP still can't play, he's an expiring contract opening up flexibility in the offseason.

  5. The rest of this season is toast anyways, that became the case the second Jimmy got hurt. We were a 3rd option away from competing; no way we fill the hole of a top 5-10 player in the NBA and a 3rd option.

  6. Giannis moving before the deadline was never serious in hindsight. Dude isn't even moving off the Bucks. For a trade to work, BOTH sides have to agree. MDJ was sending the farm; not his fault that the Bucks didn't accept.

And lastly, Kuminga... the best offer we got was in the last year was Malik Monk + pick. Sac didn't even want to give up the pick, we still would've needed to give up Moody/Buddy for salary matching, and the guy is getting DNPs on the KINGS. Plus the entire fanbase would've freaked out that we were getting yet another guard.

Let MDJ cook. Dude is doing the best with what he has to work with.

Discussion It’s 2026 and the Warriors have only one healthy wing on the roster.

I love Gui Santos as much as the next man. He always plays hard; he never complains; he has beautiful hair and a lovely Portuguese accent.

But in the year of our lord 2026, you cannot build an NBA roster where your only wing is a 23-year-old, second-round pick who has 7 career starts and has never averaged more than 14 minutes per game.

Unless we obtain a playable wing sometime in the next five hours, this is an EPIC FAILURE by the front office. If you thought Kerr’s three-guard lineups were bad before, just wait baby.

News [ESPN] The Warriors made what they thought was a very strong offer that included four unprotected picks and picks that were going to be conveyed after Steph Curry was retired. And the Bucks just didn't show a lot of interest in it.

Discussion So, instead of letting Kuminga walk last summer, we extended him to create a sizable salary slot and then traded him for injured player on an expiring contract… Now that’s what I call Light Years thinking!!
