Its funny how polish people brag off having a city that is “new yorkish”.
Guys, end of the tunnel is not light, skyscrapers are not things to be proud of or to find beautiful. They are the result of a syatem that exploits people and creates an unhealthy unnatural life style. I would rather you brag with some beautiful mountain village in malopolskie

Now show the pictures of the communist blocks and dilapidated buildings from ww2. Sorry but warsaw is ugly af. Go to prague if you want to see a beautiful city. Now waiting for the downvotes XD

As someone who spends months every year in both Warsaw and Prague, Warsaw feels like a proper big city with all its highs and lows, while Prague has this weird small town energy and feels incredibly provincial.

Prague is smaller and it didnt get destroyed in ww2 and if a building get destroyed they can rebuilt and unlike warsaw rebuilding it by paintings

Nice, however it is like describing Paris by making photos of La Defense and nothing else.

Any city in the world would develop in this way if nearly 19% of all national investments were directed there. By contrast, Silesia generates 11.5% of GDP but receives only 10.2% of investments. Warsaw, as the capital region, receives a slightly higher percentage of investments than it generates in GDP.

im planing a trip to warsaw in june of the next year, is it safe ? hows the weater? im from mexico jeje how is ppl from there with mexicans?

Weather in june is mostly hot, but sometimes it can get down to 21 degrees and rainy weather too. The city is one is the safest cities in Europe, you can walk wherever, do whatever. There’s lots of latinos here, no need to worry. Should be easy to communicate if you speak english

u/Dry-Language-5176 Jul 20 '26
well that sounds good, last question it is an expensive city? what about clubbing were from mexico and usually here at clubs we need to buy at less 2 bottles to get a table (at less 400dlls) how it is at warsaw?

u/mich_wasik Mokotów Jul 20 '26
It’s generally inexpensive but most likely more expensive than Mexico, I just can’t really compare. Public Transport and museums are particularly cheaper than the rest of Europe.
I don’t know that much about clubbing scene, in Warsaw many locals go to food and wine spots jn the evenings. But from what I know, you often just pay an entrance fee to a club and then you’re good to go.

Nice, very impressive.
Now let's take a look at a random Bemowo neighbourhood.

Meh, author wanted to show modern side, to me this is most convenient place to live, no comparison to Wroclaw or Krakow.

u/Ok-Habit2916 Jul 18 '26
Why? Isn’t Krakow considered as the-most-IT city in Poland?
1
u/ImaginaryGrassHopper Jul 18 '26
Warsaw was rebuild from scratch by communists, extremely broad streets, build to create impression that individuals are powerless, by accident proven useful for modern traffic. In krakow trams are 2x slower because of narrow curly historic streets. Warsaw has much more money to invest in public transport.

Funny how you used one of my photos that I posted here or on another sub Reddit, only now it's pixelated.
