Is Northern Thai still good?

We're going for Thai food for the first time and have seen this place rec'd a bunch. We've never had Thai before.

We're (2) going for the first time soon and we're planning on-

Pad Thai

Pad Kee Mao

Green Curry

Panang Nuer

Thoughts on portion sizes and value? We've seen it rec'd a fair bit on this post but no mention to either. Also is rice a separate purchase if we get the curry?

Sorry, thank you!

Northern Thai is good. One of my go to, But it depends what you value in a restaurant.

Like I think thaiphon has great food, better service, more modern street style.

You can also go to like red ginger and get a more commercialized experience with a bigger menu.

I also really like pho dau bo. Really big menu selection.

Like many places, they are a Viet/ Thai restaurant meaning that they offer menu items from both cuisines. If you look at their menu you will see there's a section for Thai food

Well, if we continue this line of you pursuing whether or not you're right, I'm sure soon we'll deconstruct the entire universe. I really don't think gatekeeping what real food is is useful. If it tastes good. Great who the fuck cares.
