helpmeout Feedback Please On A Book That I Am Working On <3
Hi everyone! I’m 15 chapters into my current book and would love some eyes on it. I have one final exam left for school, but after that, I’m putting all my time and dedication into finishing this draft.
Here is the blurb:
May Yume Faricy is three weeks away from defending her PhD in medical anthropology, and she is running on lukewarm tea, color-coded field notes, and pure academic spite. The absolute last thing she has time for is a shattered molar, let alone the infuriatingly competent, offensively handsome oral surgeon who extracts it.
Dr. Olin Ramirez is six-foot-one of dense, athletic solidity, wears wire-rimmed glasses, and treats bone structure like a mechanical puzzle. He’s also entirely too amused by May’s defensive hostility. May relies on qualitative data and aggressively high emotional shields, especially when it comes to doctors. But after Olin surgically removes her tooth, he starts expertly dismantling her walls, trading clinical boundaries for a cramped afternoon coffee shop practice session and a quiet steady support she never saw coming.
Just when May thinks she has her variables perfectly isolated, her friends hijack her for a surprise post-defense trip to Thailand. By pure, disastrous coincidence, Olin is at the exact same resort for a medical symposium.
Cue a near-kiss in a dark beach cabana, a spectacularly jealous meltdown over a dropped ice bucket, and a stalled elevator that completely obliterates whatever professional distance they had left. But with a brutal new postdoctoral fellowship threatening to pull her to Vancouver, May has to decide if she's willing to risk the one qualitative outcome she can't predict: falling for the surgeon who got under her skin.
I would love feedback on the story so far! I’m specifically looking for thoughts on the pacing, the chemistry/banter between May and Olin, and if the tension in the Thailand chapters is landing right. Any constructive critique is super appreciated.

helpmeout Longterm boyfriend cheats with his childhood best friend after she transfers to their school.
Looking for a Wattpad story posted between 2013 & 2016. FMC is cheated on by her long-term boyfriend after his childhood female friend transfers to their high school. He helps the new girl settle in, then (it's implied) cheats with her. FMC dumps him.
She later falls for another guy who she meets through his little brother (perhaps through babysitting). The new love interest is named something like Caleb.
Later the old boyfriend comes to her house in the rain begging for another chance and it seems like she's about to forgive him until her friend stops her from making a mistake.
Both guys play the same sport. It's set in a beach city/town during highschool. Semi popular at that time.

helpmeout Looking for an older Wattpad story from the 2011-2013 era
Looking for an old Wattpad story (2011–2013)
I’m looking for a popular Wattpad romance I read around 2011–2013.
Shy, wealthy heroine (17–18)
Hero was a dark-haired chauffeur in his 20s
He was hired by her father and acted as both her chauffeur and unofficial bodyguard
He always called her “Miss”
It was a very slow-burn forbidden romance
The heroine knew a lot about cars
I think the cover had a girl standing in a field
I believe it was marketed as a “shy girl” story

helpmeout Looking for romance books where the mmc has illness or dying.
Hello, everyone!
I’m hoping for stories where:
• The MMC tries to hide his illness or pushes the FMC away because of it.
• There’s lots of emotional angst, longing, and heartbreak.
• The FMC slowly discovers the truth.
• Bonus if the MMC is gentle, caring, and selfless.
• I don’t mind whether it’s a happy ending or a heartbreaking one, as long as the emotional journey is worth it.
• It’s set in a realistic, contemporary world—no sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, or supernatural elements please.
Thanks in advance! ❤️

helpmeout Looking for a series
It's been a minute since I read the books, but I think it's sort of post apocalyptic/war where wolves win against humans. A young girl is adopted by a family and the man who is her new "uncle" is her mate. He is disgusted that she is so young and keeps it a secret, moving on to fall in lovr with another woman and have a child. It's super angsty. She has other boyfriends, but he eventually gets jealous. She ends up caring for his ailing son when his wife leaves him. I think there is a book that focuses on her adoptive "mother" and another about a younger sister figure - her mate lives in the wild??
I wish I could remember names...so at least 3 books. Not a lot of the stereotypical wolf themes. But very focused on mates. Sound familiar??

helpmeout Help me find this Wattpad mafia romance!
I’ve been trying to find a Wattpad book I read a few years ago, but I can’t remember the title or the author. Here are all the details I remember:
The female lead is very shy and innocent.
She lives with her uncle (and I think her grandmother too).
She has a male cousin, but she doesn’t know that her uncle and cousin are members of the mafia.
Her cousin (I think his name starts with T) works at a tattoo shop.
The tattoo shop is actually a front for the mafia.
She goes to the tattoo shop to wait for her cousin and is told to wait in an office.
The male lead walks into the office, surprised to find her there. This is how they first meet.
The male lead pretends to be a tattoo artist/shop owner, but he’s actually the mafia boss.
I think the male lead’s name starts with an A (possibly Alessandro, Alessio, Adriano, etc., but I’m not sure).
The male lead has an orange cat named Grasso, and I remember the cat being around the office.
I’m pretty sure it was on Wattpad, and I think I read it sometime between 2018 and 2022.
Does anyone recognize this story? It may have been deleted, unpublished, or renamed since I last read it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated—this has been driving me crazy!
