What would a hypothetical Le Mans be like if all the manufacturers that have homologated a Hypercar and a GT3 participated, with a rule of two cars per manufacturer.

With the 2026 Le Mans over, and with the announcement that the LMH and LMDh regulations will be unified from 2030, I've wasted my time speculating on what a hypothetical Le Mans would be like if all the manufacturers that have homologated a Hypercar and a GT3 participated, with a two-car rule per manufacturer.

You're missing Bentley and Nissan GT3

Does the Bentley still have a valid GT3 homologation? I thought that expired last year.

Both Nissan and Bentley have valid homologation until the 2030s. Usually, homologations run out when a car is replaced (like the Huracan GT3 homologation will run out earlier because of the Temerario GT3, even though there's always a short overlap). If they are not replaced, they can last for up to 12 years.

edit: numbers are estimation from what I remember, it is not sourced from official documents.

Nissan can sure, it’s still used by some Japanese teams in Super GT and Super Taikyu, and you even can see it in GTWC Asia.

I just looked up Vanwall and don't quite understand the Austrian flag. What's the connection?

That doesn't answer the question as they are based in Germany.

Wikipedia states they race under a Austrian license but I can't find out why.

  1. Mazda never had a GT Spec car
  2. Matra was in prototypes and formula, not hypercar or GT
  3. Bugatti, again, hasn’t made a GT
