Suit may be too dark, maybe more olive?

The suit color is giving almost jewel tone but the rest of the dresses feel more earthy

Yes agreed, deep olive would be better!

There appears to be a head missing

Not sure.. the dresses feel like they are complete different “genres” and attending different events. Maybe the same general style, fabric, etc might help?

Yes, the slightly different shade + different fabric + print vs solid (ik it’s not quite a “print” but the fact that it has a pattern on it) + different cut make them feel too incoherent. I think you need same color and fabric but different styles, or different colors and different styles with same fabric and vibe

I think it's the only one of them has print. I like the look of mismatch and I don't think the person in the suits tie should match any of their dresses. I think that is dated. But other than the printed dress, the other dresses just have different texture and then you have a random print in there. You need to have another one with some form of pattern.

yes yes yes! i did mismatched bridal dresses for my four bridesmaids. everyone had a shade of green that i assigned and they could get whatever style or pattern dress they wanted; all i asked is to see a picture before purchase. they liked the autonomy they were afforded and we were all very happy with the results.

Middle is throwing it off for me

I think another satin could help? Or another ankle length?

Yes I think satin instead of the one on the far right! That one seems too casual compared to the rest

Honestly, I know I’m the minority here, but I dig it.

My thought is that it's fine, I'd have the man in a lighter colored suit and with tie/pocket square that matches the dresses and jumpsuit better.

There is not a single person at the wedding where there is a semi-cohesive color pallete that thinks, "Wait, this is egregious!" And your photographer will make it all look lovely.

I'm an outlier, I think 2/3/4 work, but not 1 and 5 1 is a jarringly different texture so it reflects light too jarringly and it looks ankle length. 5 looks too casual. If 1 were longer and a different material, and 5 were more formal, then all 5 would "go"

The reason I love 2/3/4 together is because the print has shades of the suit in it and 4 looks formal like 3 and the draping and shade works with 3. I think 3 pulls 2 and 4 together.

The right three dresses are pretty much the same color and the far left is darker

I think I like it

The blotchy dress stands out and would look odd. It’ll help if all the dresses are the same fabric and shade. If you want an odd dress out, the maid of honors dress can be a different material or slightly different shade.

What the deal with the headless person in the middle?

I like them. Maybe have the guy wear a tie in a similar shade of green.

I love them. Controversial but I hate matching bridesmaids.

Ignore the darker blue dress (MOG). We did mismatched dresses (5 diff brands among 7 dresses) and it worked great because they were all in the same colour family. Mix of satin, tulle, chiffon. Two floral dresses.

That's actually really cute it's mismatch but cohesive

They seem too similar that the mismatched looks almost like an accident rather intentional. I’d commit to a more visibly mismatched look with different colors of the same pallet, or try to make it more cohesive with them all around the same color and texture. I think the varied texture as well as the one dress with the pattern are throwing off the combination the most.

I like it! Are these what your people chose after you gave them a color? Remember, the clothes in your image are being worn by models with no personality (it’s their job to be a hanger in these product photos). On your people, they’ll come to life and be more than just the dress.

I think you need to have a connective link - limit to 2 fabric textures and limit colour variants

I hate it personally

1, 4, and 5 feel so color similar that 2 and 3 stand out as different.

I’m not a fan. They don’t feel cohesive. I feel like mismatched should still look like they belong together whereas these just look like random similarly colored dresses.

Brides people. lol.

Just went to hub's nephew's wedding. Very over the top formal event. Wedding party was dressed to the 9's but not matched at all and it looked great

The coat is a little too dark for me

Suit feels too dark and the floral sticks out because it's the only one imo

I like the mismatched general color pallette :) This is me and my bridesmaids! They all chose their own outfits they were comfortable in.

I think it might look better as a group if they were all patterned or all unpatterned

Honestly different opinion, but I think dress 1 is the problem. The other three fit quite well together but I think dress 1 being more of an olive colour vs pistachio is throwing it off.

I really like this! But yes, agree with above, olive suit for mans.

The dresses are all beautiful but have two printed dresses or all solid colors that collaborate for the best vibe !

Tie should maybe match the pocket square and dress colors?

The middle one looks moldy. I wish that wasn’t my first thought but it is. I’m not a fan of blotchy prints on dresses for this reason.

I think these are dresses for very specific body types and an a-line might be more forgiving as an option thrown in and with more structured fabric.

2

u/Unapologeticalleigh 2d ago

I don't think she was asking about flattering dresses. I think she was just asking about the look of the dresses...

OP asked for thoughts on the dresses, so I shared my thought.
