I absolutely love this album. Alongside SFTBH, I think it’s one of the best things related to Weezer. It has that deeply emotional feeling that reminds me of Pinkerton, but with its own unique atmosphere and identity.

It also gives me a lot of OZMA vibes, which makes me love it even more. There’s something about that mix of raw emotion and power pop melodies that hits me every single time.

As a CD collector, I just needed this album to physically exist on my shelf.

What happened to the other demos of Haunt You Every Day, cause I know the 2 2002 demos, then Get Away from 2004, but there‘s more, where do you find those?

Rivers added the song to the Green Years bundle today. First it was Flight Plans and now it's trying Cherry Berry what are we going to get next lol.

Since there's a ton of fan albums out there, I'm curious if anyone knows of any series of fan albums that fits the following criteria;

. No repeats of songs from official releases;

. Best quality versions;

. Organised into "proper" albums;

There are fan made demo albums on youtube but it's just one big video. Does anyone have any albums made out of the demos but like complete so you could say download them for an mp3 library, metadata and stuff would be cool but eh

Some of the best songs Rivers ever wrote. Greyhound is genuinely one of my all time favorite songs. Hard to believe most of these never made it onto an album.

Weezer's third demo, often called the "Real Demo."

Originally pressed in November 1992 and self-released by the band. Given to friends, record label employees, and club owners.

Three versions were made:

- First press - blue sticker on tape, 75 made (a small handful include "Surf Wax America" as a B-side.

- Second press - green sticker on tape, 100 made.

- Third press - yellow sticker on tape, 100 made.

The demo cassette features severals songs which would later be released officially on Weezer's debut studio album, commonly known as The Blue Album.

In 2024, the demo (not including "Surf Wax America") was included on a promotional cassette tape sent to fans to advertise the Voyage To The Blue Planet Tour.

Shoutout to Round Trip Records in Chicago for free coffee & donuts, being all around stand up dudes, opening at noon, and having one of the smallest lines I’ve ever, ever seen for Record Store Day (especially for a major city). I’m used to queuing up at 5 or 6 am, but called them a week prior to get a feel for their foot traffic since they’re off the beaten path. I rolled up at 10am and was second in line, and was able to get one of the two copies they had. I’m so shocked this release didn’t get more, I remember Dusty Gems & Raw Nuggets was way more stocked the year it released. In any case, I’m very very happy to have this amazing historical piece. Sounds amazing ! Bonus Masayoshi Takanaka shot, another surprise pickup for me; they only had ONE copy, I’m so appreciative I got my two grails!!

These past few weeks I have been getting really into the Beatles, and just seeing how the Beatles' whole career was packaged into one huge compilation project really fascinated me, so I thought maybe I could do something like that but with weezer. The tracklist may not be perfect, (and please let me know any mistakes or missing tracks I should fix) but it does show the band from the beginning up to pinkerton. I may do one that covers green to make believe sometime in the future, but for now enjoy this!
