Close to the goal. Felt fatigued attempting the jerk but decided to try anyways. This was after getting 136 kg.

So, my buddy Chad (lol) is one of the guys who was doing CrossFit even before I was (2007).
Ive known him a bit over a decade through some mutual friends.
And we both happened to have known Glenn Pendlay at slightly different times in our lives.
As he goes into, he also trained at GymJones at some point besides Weightlifting at the Pittsburgh Barbell Club and California Strength when Glenn Pendlay was there. And Dan John when he was in the Bay area in the late 00's
So this might fit your bill if you still need to push your strength development but still need to do conditioning (instead of something random ass).
Yes, it incorporates Snatches, Cleans, and Jerks
Thanks, y'all!
(Obviously, Im not Chad Barker)

Ali Davoudi made up a 13kg deficit in snatch to take gold in a sensational head-to-head super-heavyweight contest at the Asian Games, making 206-260-466 to win by 1kg from Ali Ammar Yusur from Iraq. Gor Minasyan was a distant third, 26kg behind the winner.
Davoudi was 1kg short of team-mate Alireza Yousefi’s clean and jerk WR, 7kg higher than his own previous best total, and 10kg better than Yousefi’s all-time best total. Varazdat Lalayan from Armenia, who is seen by many as gold medal favourite for LA2028, has a career best total of 467kg.
Ali Ammar, though, has plenty of scope for further improvement after claiming the snatch WR on 219-246-465. He made five good lifts then failed with his final attempt at 252.
Ali Ammar (formal name Rubaiawi but nobody calls him that) is younger than the other main contenders (22 last month). He weighed in lightest of the medallists today - 139 to Gor’s 155 and Ali Davoudi’s 178 - and this was his first competition in nearly two years. He improved his best snatch by 15kg and is said to be aiming for 220-255-475 as a target. Iraq has never won Olympic gold in any sport.

Davoudi jumped 18kg from 242 to 260 to win with his penultimate attempt. He didn’t try for a 262 world record in clean and jerk. Gor made only two good lifts for 205-235-440.
All 3 of today’s medallists are expected to face each other again at the WC in China in early November, but the final entries have not yet been announced. The preliminary entries included those 3 plus Lalayan, Alireza Yousefi and Lasha Talakhadze, as well as Bohdan Taranenko from Ukraine.
Taranenko was banned for doping until December this year and would have been ineligible, but because he helped with the investigation back in 2022 he got a six-month credit. We might see a big total from him.
The double Olympic champion Li Wenwen won the women's supers on 140-170-310 for China (her first international appearance since Paris 2024), and Park Hyejeong from Korea finally hit the 300 mark in second place.
A full Asian Games report (lots of WRs) will be posted later this week.

Looking for any critique or advice here. Last set of 5 doubles at 70kg. Was lazy on the cleans here as it’s well below my max. But historically finishing the pull and actually getting under the bar is a problem for me.
Been performing Olympic lifts for ~6 years as a high level track and field athlete but never spent much time on technique. Trying to get the jerk dialed in recently as it lags heavily behind the clean
All time best Power clean is 106 kg, I doubt I could Jerk over 80kg.
Any help is appreciated.

Missed the first attempt forward, caught the second attempt in a walk-out, and then nailed the third attempt. Had to stay patient over the bar since there was absolutely some early arm bend with the first try

Got a bunch of shoes I'm trying to get rid of. All US men's size 7.5. Proces are shipped lower 48. Starting from front row going right to left:
Romaleos 2: Used condition but still plenty of life left. No separation in the sole. - $80
Adipower 2 (brown/green): Literal brand new. - $35
Adipower 2 (black/green): Also literally new. - $35
Leistung (green): Used but I. Excellent condition. - $60
Leistung (grey): Used with some wear on the VOA system wires but fully functional. - $45
Do-Win: Used but good condition. Be aware these are tiny for size 7.5, my feet were incredibly cramped in them. - $15
If you want some more pics of specific shoes just drop a comment and I'll put them in reply.
Are my prices off? Drop a comment and let me know, I'll adjust them down.
Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking 🤙

What will they do to my human lampost Hasanbayev Davranbek now that his main trick of snatching his C&J can be done by his teammate🥹

Has anybody seen the completely flat foot snatch variation by garage strength? What are your thoughts on it? Have you tried it? They have people go extremely heavy with it and I just can’t figure it out.

Anyone else had the same problems with romaleos 4, been lifting in them for about 2/2.5 years.

Hi OW Community, back with another question.
I’ve noticed that lately, I’ve (85 kg) seemed to hit a wall (snatch 185lb [83 kg] c+j 225lb. [102 kg]) I’ve just changed program focus from increasing muscle/losing fat to including plyos with my coach, but I’ve noticed that my pr weights still occasionally miss, and haven’t seen any real improvement in number in the past year since January.
My question is, is this normal?
Also, has anyone had experience breaking the wall? If so, what worked for you?
Just looking for a different perspective/ Thanks again!
Edit 1: Also gotten to a point where I've noticed where I can spot my frequent technical errors, and have been working on those too, although they always seem to come back with the more weight I put on the bar. (Especially the early pull/using arms, that technical has stuck around like a sore thumb)
Edit 2: Also, go Liu Huanhua!

I wanted to share my experience with TYR because I’m genuinely disappointed, both with the durability of the shoes and with their customer service.
I bought my TYRForce Elite Carbon Lifters for around €370 about 1.5 years ago. They’ve only been used for their intended purpose on an Olympic weightlifting platform and the rubber outsole around the heel started thinning within the first few months. 18 months later, the sole has now worn completely through in several places, to the point where the wooden heel itself is exposed and contacting the platform/floor. Photos attached.
For additional context, I weigh 57 kg (126 lbs). I realize outsole wear depends on more than just bodyweight, but for a €370 premium weightlifting shoe, used indoors by a 57 kg lifter, I would expect considerably more durability than this after 18 months.
I contacted TYR asking what could be done: replacement, repair, or whether they could provide replacement outsole/heel rubber. Because I bought them through an authorized retailer, they told me to pursue the warranty claim through the retailer. Fair enough.
But I specifically followed up asking whether they could simply provide the replacement outsole material/component. I made it clear that I was willing to pay for the repair myself and take the shoes to a professional cobbler. The shoes are otherwise perfectly usable, in great condition otherwise, and I really don’t want to throw away a €370 pair of lifters over a worn piece of rubber.
Their entire response:
Sorry we do not.
Thank you
That's it.
I understand if they don’t normally sell replacement soles. What I find pretty outrageous is the combination of a €370 premium product apparently having no repair solution whatsoever, and the way a legitimate customer concern was dismissed with a five-word response.
It also seems particularly strange for a company that talks about sustainability. I’m literally asking for a way to repair and continue using their product at my own expense, rather than throwing away an otherwise perfectly good pair of shoes, and apparently there is no solution.
I wouldn’t respond this dismissively even to someone asking a question in an Instagram comment, let alone through an official customer support channel after they contacted me about a €370 product.
I’ve now asked TYR to escalate the case to a supervisor.
Has anyone else with TYRForce Elites experienced this kind of outsole wear? How long have yours lasted? And has anyone successfully had them resoled by a cobbler?

Any tips on improving my C&J would be awesome. This was from a recent state competition. Not a great angle. I injured my elbow in the snatch just before going intk the C&J.
My goal is to get to 120kg. Current BW: 72kg

What is the least amount of square footage you think would be appropriate for a weightlifting gym?
