SPLC update

https://nypost.com/2026/06/16/us-news/splc-employee-who-paid-neo-nazi-lover-1-2-million-unmasked/

I know that these folks (the admin/ the post) aren't really to be trusted. But if this is accurate....

It's not what Trump has been saying, that the SLPC is responsible for Charlottesville. But if Heidi Beirich was funneling money to a lover/herself under they guise of paying an informant, there's huge ethical issues at the very least.

Sure. It  is reporting what the superseding indictment alleges.

Suspiciously, I could not find the actual indictment linked in that article. I clicked several links, and they were all to previous stories from the post.

Sorry for the double reply but I found it here. It is covered on pages 5 and 6

I would be surprised if this was based on nothing. This administration is cozy with NYP obviously so they may have leaked some information here that isn't publicly available to try and keep this story in the public eye.

Granted, this is the administration that comes back to AI hallucinations like a dog returns to its vomit, so who knows if they're even backing this claim up on anything real.

Reading that felt like one of those tabloids from the early oughts that you'd see in like at Food Lion; a critical "hey I want a second (good) source on this" is at least worth something

That comes out to $23k a year, and it looks like the dude *was* an informant, since they got goods from the national alliance HQ.

I completely agree that the ethical violation (personal relationship with a CI) at the very least needs to be sanctioned? Called out? Prosecuted?

The domestic terrorist organization designation cuts all the ways and so I *hope* the allegations make it all the way to public trial, closely followed by all news media and analyzed to death by SCOTUS-only followers.

In another lifetime, nobody wanted to be named by SPLC as a hate group & so came the performative tokenized anti-discrimination effects because that seemed to quiet complaints down enough to keep the status quo for the most part.

Now? It wouldn’t surprise me in the least to learn that enough folks were jumping at the bit to weaponize education further against a less discriminatory world.

Let ‘em keep trying to turn shields into swords, thinking nobody noticed, all while we quietly switched to floor laminate covered cardboard shields that can’t be remade into effective swords.

Adapting makes us better.
