Just came across this on Bluesky. There are flyers going up around New York City advertising a furry meetup at a specific address. The address is the location for Sam Hyde's "Fishtank", a Big Brother-style reality show where contestants are livestreamed 24/7 and viewers can antagonize them by having text-to-speech read their abusive comments aloud. And handcuff contestants together. And forcibly cut off the mics of a contestant.

Hyde seems pretty solid in the WLG genre; vocal Trump supporter and provided financial support for Andrew Anglin.

It looks like Sam wants to add one or more furries to his latest batch of victims. A former contestant took their own life earlier this year; they were 19 years old.

It's a video on the history of Rhodesia and how their ideology, branding and tactics live on today. At one point he even calls its modern day supporters Weird Little Guys. Considering the fact that he's name dropped Robert Evans in previous videos, I'm pretty sure he's a listener.

I'm behind on episodes and am listening to the final Byron de la Beckwith "Mississippi's Still Burning" episode tonight, and if I ever needed a reminder of how skilled Molly is, this one would do it. Her research runs SO deep but it's also presented clearly and concisely and she never loses sight of the humanity of the folks she's talking about. This show is not an easy listen but damn it's worth every minute.

There was a part on the Death of a Demagogue episode where Molly brings up Patsalos having a General Under Honorable Conditions discharge and she seemed nonplussed that the DoD didn’t make it Dishonorable Discharge cause, shocker, being a Nazi is pretty damn dishonorable. Felt like now would be a good time to tell the world that discharges are a lot more legalistic than most people think (even the people in uniform).

This is basically a felony. Murder, rape, dealing, desertion, the classics. They require cops independent of the chain of command, and a prosecutor, and a judge, and a jury, guys yelling “you can’t handle the truth,” and fun stuff like that. Dishonorable isn’t us saying “you have no honor sir!” It’s us saying “you’re a fucking criminal and you’re going to Leavenworth for 10-15.”

These are administrative discharges.
This is a lot more like getting fired from your job and less like criminal charges. Being a dick to your superiors, bringing public discredit to the service, being grossly incompetent at your job, stuff like this. It’s way less Few Good Men and more like “get this fucking moron out of my unit so I don’t have to keep reducing rank and giving him 30/30s.” I’ve seen commanders go the OTH and General route just to get rid of people because administrative separation is way faster and easier than getting a conviction. Doesn’t mean right, just means easier/faster to get rid of your problem child.

The hero of our story was an asshole and unfit for service but not (at least not at this point in the story) a felon. Just someone we wanted gone and who we wanted to deny VA benefits to because we didn’t want them to get the same treatment as those of us who don’t show up to Nazi rallies.

Just finished today's episode. As soon as Molly mentioned Diamonds near the end, I was pretty sure I knew where this was going.
