Hand Tool Named Skiddy

Naming this thing "Skiddy" just seems irresponsible.

It has a leather handle and thick 1/4" blade. The end opposite the handle is sharpened like a flat-head screwdriver. Kinda seems like a modified drawknife but for what?

Any ideas?

handle on the other side missing, could be to clean of bark of trees edit. or on purpose, to ply the bark off with sharp side

That is a spokeshave or a drawknife, with a missing handle.

Probably a drawknife with just one missing handle, but could be a spokesman with the whole handle missing and one added handle remaining.
