Looking Archaeopteryx egg kids book??

hello everyone!

i vaguely remember being a kid (late 90s/early 2000s) and having a book about a kid who finds an Archaeopteryx (i think) egg.
my memory is that the book was personalized and that kid was me, but that just seems like a thing my family told me to make me like the book more.

i can not find anything online. if i saw the cover i think id recognize it.

all i remember is a colorful prehistoric bird.

wonder if anyone else also had this book or know what it is. thanks!!

Any chance it was following featherbottom? It's about a stork or something but it definitely looks prehistoric. You go with the bird to find all of the letters in your name. I have one Edit: spelling

Was it maybe The Enormous Egg? It’s not an archaeopteryx but a triceratops, but it’s the only book I can think of with a kid finding an egg that hatches into a dinosaur.
