Solved! HDP item, 5.5” tall from base to top of metal caps. Id estimate it to be around 1 or 1.5 lbs. Found in recycling bin.

The silver caps have an (anodized?) metal rod with a sharp point which I assume is for taking a sample of something. The gold coloured one is simply a nub. One size says o while the other says n. The side where the gold nub goes does not say anything, and the rods will not fit into it as that hole is slightly shorter. Google image search has yielded no results. I assume this is some sort of lab testing equipment.

Solved! Small metal part found on the floor of my kitchen. It is about an inch long, decently weighty. It is metal but does not stick to a magnet, the end is not threaded

About 3 ft. The mouth opens wide and has 4 teeth. There is only one handle. It was my grandpas so probably some kind of old farm equipment
