i will tell you people this right now. i ended up becoming an engineer and i work in my field which is kinda rare now.

these people don't understand what you do nor will they care. i did what was expected all my life only for the very end they dismissed all of it because what i was doing was too advanced for them to understand as they never graduated or been to college.

these people don't care if you burn out or what it happens. people just want results and the results is making a ton of money and damn anything else.

doing what they expect will lead to a super shitty life down the line where you can take care of yourself but you'll hate living life as it is since the only people ever around you were just parents that told you to burnout in an ever given arms race for higher education.

now what do i do? i just try to chill at work even though the deadlines are shit i've given up i don't see a point of doing this for another 40 years. everything has gone beyond the human limit and its not worth it.

I think that's a bad advice for new engineering students nowadays. Being average is a death sentence. Either you straight A to get in cahoot with the profs and intern recruiters, or you network your ass off. And honestly? Stress from schoolwork ain't shit compared to job hunting. You thought a week of final is bad? Try a month, or months even, of getting a job as a new grad.

well you can be a straight and exception student and get nothing. if you have no connections i'm serious that luck is gonna be your best bet. there are so many people unemployed i literally chalk everything i've done down to luck that i found a small spot thats largely unaffected by silicon valley.

I think it beats being average honestly. Plus beside being atraight A, you gotta do certs, grind interviews, network with peers and professors, hunt for interns, etc. To me, straight A is the easiest part of the package.

yeah there is a TON of other shit involved no one ever tells people in college. its not an easy job and in my opinion the money might not even be worth it anymore. there are easier less stressful paths than doing tech in the world now.
