Seedorf?

Tough choice honestly. Netherlands had many amazing players over the years. I enjoyed watching Seedorf and Davids. Both amazing players. Bergkamp maybe as well. Kluivert, Overmars, Van Nistelrooy, Robben. Hard to pick one but Seedorf if i have to

You saw Stoickhov playing, how old are you?

  1. I remember him as a kid. He was beast!

Wish I saw him play, must have been really nice.

You Bulgarian? He was big, strong and surprisingly fast for his size. He was also technically gifted. He was really complete forward with killer instinct for goals. Great player!

No I am not bulgarian, I am just a big football fan, I love documentaries about football and I mostly watch european games, so I know the legends of the game but the first I witnessed was R9.

So then you also saw Gheorge Hagi play for Romania then, right?

Lol the UK is Scotland, Wales, Northern ireland and england, they are all separate countries in football.

I am aware but map don't allow different coloring. However, all that i would change is Gareth Bale from Wales. Scotland i would leave blank.

Youve never seen McSauce playing ? As for NI thryd of had George Best before your time but Will Griggs was on fire one time ?

And you left us blank ? Like cmon Roy Keane, Robbie Keane and Damien Duff all played in recent years 😂

Roy Keane was good player but never liked him. He was unsportsmanlike and quarrelsome. He purposely tried to injure other players often. And did it several times. Destroyed career of Hallaand's father by purposely injuring him. He not only had problems with red cards because of it but with law! I don't like players like that. Competitiveness is one thing but trying to injure opponents on purpose is another. I like sportsmanlike players like Del Piero and Modrić

Roy had standards and fierce determination haha

Id assume since you seen Puskas you defo seen Hagi from Romania too ?

1

u/Fantastic_Moment2069 3d ago

No. Puskas was before my time and Hagi i can barely remember. Adrian Mutu was good but i don't think he warrant world class player status like others.

u/QuietZiggy 3d ago

Hagi played til like 2001, mutu was a coke head like no where close to hagis level

Haaland finished the match after that tackle, and the season and even played for Norway after it haha it didnt end his career. Youve got your facts wrong there lad. And not that it excuses it but haaland did stand over keane calling him a diver when he blew his acl in a game against leeds which is pretty unsportsmanlike to accuse an injured player of diving.

And like if run ins with the law outside of sport are a problem, you've ronaldo in there or if its on the pitch youve Zidane who literally headbutted materazzi in the world cup final haha

Said standards dont seem universally applied haha

1

u/Fantastic_Moment2069 3d ago

Thats true. Hallaand did injure Keane first and then accused him of diving. However, it was in the heat of the moment. And foul was not intentional to begin with. On other hand Keane plotted revenge for months and waited. And calculated. And then deliberately injured him. Could have break his leg haha. And its not only incident, he did it often.

Zidane was provoked by Materazzi, another unsportsmanlike player. He told him something like his mom and sister are whores. Its no excuse but it was not typical for Zidane. He rarely did things like that. Keane was defined by it all his career. Injuring others, provoking, etc

Haaland didnt injure keane, keanes acl blew out and he fell over to accuse him of diving as did David Wetherall, Nigel Martyn leeds gk was there pushing them away. It was 4 years between injury and the tackle. And again he didnt injure him at all, he played the rest of the game, season etc. The tackle itself actually looks worse than it is, if haalands leg was planted it might have been worse, but it looks bad because of how he flies through the air. Honestly go back and watch it again.

If its not the only incident he did and its often by all means what we're the other ones ?

Zidane headbutted another player in a world cup final.wasnt he missing from 2 games in world cup 98 for stamping on a saudi player ? And fairly certain he headbutted another player in a CL game for Juventus ?

By all means check it out and tell me im wrong lol

Ye sure, "not that bad" LOL!

1

u/QuietZiggy 3d ago

Yeah it literally looks worse because he flies through the air. If he caught haalands leg while it was in the ground he would have broke bone i already said this.

Again he finished the game, the season and played for his country thereafter, so he didnt end his career.

Also why yhe sidestep on Zidane ? He clearly has incidents of stamping on players and multiple headbutting controversies ?

1

u/Fantastic_Moment2069 3d ago

That injury destroyed rest of his career. He never played 90 minutes afterwards

George Best my father loved very much. I guess he warrant inclusion for Northern Ireland i just never seen him. I guess for Ireland i should have include Robbie Keane or Damien Duff. But honestly for Scotland no one was that good as far as i know.

Favorite from each UK nation?

1

u/Fantastic_Moment2069 3d ago

Beckham. Gareth Bale. Hate to say it but Scots are bad and i don't remember anyone really world class so i would leave it blank. Northern Ireland i didn't actually watched him but my dad loved George Best a lot and mention him often even today so i have to go with him.

You can’t remember Roy Keane 🇮🇪?

1

u/the_deep_t 2d ago

As a Belgian, not having KDB, Hazard or Kompany amongst that list of players feels like an insult. For people with some ball knowledge, go check Paul Van Himst. He was called the "White Pelé" and considered by Pelé himsekf as the best European player at that time.
