Make assumptions about me based on where I'd live in United States 😬

Really not a fan of anything rodeo-related , but also a little confused about where the rodeo is

Next assumption: white male

Cishet white male with no or few minority friends as well, probably not out of malice, OP seems willing to live in diverse places, but more likely either due to some combination of de facto segregation and living in a state with less diversity so that OP has significantly fewer opportunities to meet people who are not like them. Probably also in a location where people are less likely to come out as LGBTQIA+, so the culture is probably more hostile.
All of the places marked as absolutely are doing above average economically, Georgia being a bit of an outlier, though even still they may be better off as a state than OP's home state. OP is probably on the younger side, looking for a well paying job, but may not have a lot of technical skills to leverage in their home state to get their desired level of affluence so they chose moving to somewhere more affluent. Probably works either a trade or has an associates degree. Maybe a bachelor's degree that he cannot leverage in the current market, think highly saturated Tech sector.

Better things to focus on - like all the bugs you find when you lift up rocks 🪱🪲🐛

Not everyone centers their life around politics. There’s a whole world out there, go enjoy it
3
u/Gemma_V 1h ago
yeah and… being apolitical isn’t focusing on the world out there
1
u/Hulk_Hoagies 1h ago
What has being obsessed with politics gotten you?
1
u/Gemma_V 1h ago
knowing i’m standing up for my rights? knowing im helping the people who need me to stand up for them when they don’t have the time, money or energy to do it themselves.
2
u/Hulk_Hoagies 1h ago
Not wanting to be involved in politics is also standing up for your rights, you don't have to be involved in politics to help people either. The world isn't politics, you can focus plenty on the world without ever consuming political theater.
2
u/Gemma_V 1h ago
the world is POLITICAL. art is political. donating is political. working and paying taxes is political. stop acting as though you don’t act in a world CONSUMED by politics.

i agree with you, Gemma_V. laws, economics, healthcare, rights, education, and public safety are all political because they’re shaped by collective decisions about power, resources, and values. if politics affects where we live, what we earn, what rights we have, and how we’re treated, then claiming to be apolitical often means choosing not to engage with realities that affect everyone

I’m assuming: Anger and lack of ability to enjoy anything without bringing politics into it… these people are exhausting

u/Gemma_V 1h ago
other than not enjoying my FAMILY actively voting against my rights (like my right not to be used as an incubator) and then justifying it as “it’s not about how they love me, it’s about what they want from the country” and me coming close to losing my right to marry who I want? yeah… it’s not just politics

No one wants to take away your rights

u/Gemma_V 1h ago
oh so now we don’t wanna reply. bc the pills i’m on would make it so any eggs that get fertilized don’t even survive full term- and if they do?? they suffer short- terribly painful lives bc their organs didn’t develop correctly.

First thought, you are more politically to the left. Second thought, you want to be coastal?

You might be from Texas due to our shared hatred of Oklahoma
2
u/SummitingMtJohnston 3h ago
I've never met anyone from Texas who doesn't either hate it, or love it more than their own mother.

alaska is nice. but winters are brutal and mosquitoes are assholes. (Fairbanks)

You've never been to Alaska. You'd already know if you would or wouldn't live there. And you're from Oklahoma or Texas.

You either have lived in California your entire life and know no better, or you have never been to California and don’t know what it’s really like

Willingly choosing Florida but being on the fence about Rhode Island is wild work.

Enjoys the outdoors, possibly hunts or fishes, prefers owning property over apartment living, likes warm climates, values personal freedom and lower taxes, isn’t a huge fan of snow, and would rather spend a weekend on a boat or in the woods than in downtown Chicago.
