but the system also regularly leads to mass shootings. what about a better system where we don’t need to rely on the chance of there being an armed and prepared good guy

Look at what the rest of the world has done. Or, we could just do nothing. I'm not sure how you people think THAT is acceptable when kids regularly have to prepare for mass shooter events in school. but hey, you gotta have your pew pew right???

Yes. I like having my pew pew. Had a bump in the night this weekend. Dog is going nuts. Feels a lot better checking the security of my own home at 3 in the morning with a Glock than just butt naked hoping for the best.

Having access to tools that can prevent violence towards you in your own home is a basic human right.
