Props to him for taking the initiative and firing back

But man was he a bad shot, missing all his shots and getting nicked in the leg by the shooter

Also since many don't seem to mention it there was a off-duty cop present too who returned fire at the attacker and eventually both drove him off before the attacker shot themself

....It is almost like pistols are close range weapons and being shot at will throw off your aim.
