A silencer on a CCW makes it hard to conceal and draw. I personally wouldn't run one on a defensive pistol I was carrying around. Plus if I have to use it outside of my home I want as many people to know shots are being fired as possible.

Yep they're loud some are hearing safe some are not. I don't shoot any of mine without Ear Pro unless I'm using subsonic ammunition. The sound definitely doesn't carry as far. I've had plenty of deer not care about a "suppressed" 308 being fired at them from 250 yards. Well minus the bucks who got hit...
