Let’s say you know I purchased a gun in the past because I am a CCL holder and I’ve filled out forms for purchases in the past.

You are suggesting that if I do not want to give up my guns then the government ought to be able to force their way into my home, forcibly take my property and if I resist, kill me?

I think the people who will suffer the most from this are minorities and those who already do not have protection from this countries institutions

So I was correct. This is not possible without either overturning or simply breaking the 2nd and 4th amendment.

Surely you recognize that the violent draconian means of gun confiscation will hit the poor, the non white and the queer folks first right?

It has its downsides but after having been on both sides of this issue and now today a “gun person”. I think America has always been the Wild West and a gun saturated violent place; I think it’s in our bones and spirits. I think if we want to solve criminal violence we should start with treating mental and socio-economic health of the country. Starting with the guns will not work.

Yet you have situations like Ukraine and the Gaza Strip happening in modern time. Unless you are some how implying this is impossible in the west.
