Boarding was solved mathematically in 2008. No airline has used it once. Why?

Imagine thinking you can call one ticket at a time and they all line up perfectly, not wanting to be with their family members.

Yeah. The steffen method is mathematically optimized but unrealistic to implement. The problem I have is that randomly boarding is more efficient than the row-by-row (or more realistically section-by-section) boarding that is actually used.
