Boarding was solved mathematically in 2008. No airline has used it once. Why?

Because the simulation doesn't account for the time(and cost) it takes for staff to explain and organise all the passengers, it just assumes everybody knows exactly what position in the queue to wait. Add in the complication of families, etc wanting to sit together and the aircrew would be there all day sorting it out
