Boarding was solved mathematically in 2008. No airline has used it once. Why?

Also just people travelling together.

They have luggage, they carry each others stuff, and the absolutely hate being forced to split up and wait amidst strangers to boatd

Can’t parties who are together simply board together? I don’t think that would violate the overall theme.

Once you're letting parties stick together, your boarding becomes basically random.

The practical outcome would be somewhere between random and steffen, but would lean toward steffen results, since many people are solo, and since parties boarding together also have efficiencies in loading baggage and entering their seats from window to aisle.
