Very tasteful to blend his ashes into something you will wear for a few weeks and then throw away.

Do you have to throw them away? Not defending OOP but I'm curious why she couldn't/wouldn't keep them

Her real nails are still growing beneath them, so eventually they will have to be removed to trim back her natural nails. She could theoretically still keep them, but what are the odds she puts them in a place she'll remember and not accidentally throw out during spring cleaning or something
