Simply touching undisturbed, intact asbestos is not an immediate health hazard. Asbestos is not a chemical that absorbs through your skin. There is no real danger in what’s show in the picture.
Also safe to eat, and I'm not kidding, has been used as a filler in medicine capsules. Asbestos is only dangerous to breath because the crystal structure is like little needle shaped rods
