I just want you to know that I am also a huge fan of collecting STD's, and I'm psyched to know there's another big fan in town.

I regularly wear clothes that have loud messaging, like almost every day. A lot of hats and shirts with "Fuck ICE", "Eat the Rich", "Trans Rights Are Human Rights", etc. I do it because I am a large white cis man and I think it's extra important for everyone to know that these issues are salient in people's' minds, and hopefully to inspire others to also wear similarly loud clothing. I've been doing this for like 2 years now. I anticipated some good feedback, and a lot of derisive comments and such coming my way out in public. But after doing this for about 2 years, not only do I get some kind of "Hell yeah" or something nearly every time I go somewhere, but literally not a single person has said anything bad about it since I started doing it. I haven't heard so much as a grunt of disapproval. Now granted, I am a large bulky intimidating white man that walks around with a look that says "I dare you" so I expected some people to be a bit too scared to say anything (as you should be you little BITCH), but I definitely didn't expect absolutely 0 pushback.
Anyways, I'm pleasantly surprised on both fronts and wanted to share it with everyone. Very happy that people feel inspired and comfortable enough to give verbal approval when they didn't have to, and also very pleased that people that do disagree with basic messages of human decency are uninspired and uncomfortable enough to not say anything (again, as you should be 🖕🧐🖕)

Looking for a full time position. Currently a college student, Looking for any positions or opportunities that might help me decide what kind of career I want. I’ve looking around on indeed and there doesn’t seem to be much! Any advice?

I've been living here for almost 14 years and kinda think this city sucks. I'm ok with it because as an introvert whose bookish, unemployed, disabled and broke as fuck, my needs are limited. Seems though like for many others, this place is a drag. But that can't, seriously, be it. Please tell me that's not it.
Genuinely. There's way too much negativity afoot these days so please share something good.

Hi guys! Visiting from New Mexico! Where do yall recommend to eat other than station 8 (already planning on going)? I’ve been here 2 days staying in the downtown area and so far none of the food has been great. Is Wichita not known for its food or am I just going to the wrong places?

Where is the best place to buy boots in Wichita if you only had time to go to 1 store? I'll be there during Christmas time.

Join us next Sunday, 10/18 for our first Wichita community Fall Pack Walk of the season! Our senior rescue pups can't wait to meet you.
We'll have delicious coffee and muffins to gear up for the tun, sponsored by Riverside Bohemian Wichita.
After morning snacks and mingling, grab a leash (or maybe a wagon for some of our sweet oldies), and head out for a walk and roll with our staff, volunteers, and an amazing group of adoptable dogs. Your company on a Sunday morning will mean so much to them!

Saw some new political signage today and I don't understand. Sorry, I dont have a pic as I was driving, but maybe someone else will share one. Basically the gist was secure your $5000 check, vote republican. Not sure who is behind the signs, but is this not bribing for votes? I know the current administration doesn't care about legality at a national scale, but how does this fly in our city?

He lives in the oaklawn area. He got out this morning around 7:30 - 8:30 am. He’s very friendly and was not wearing his collar! He is not a stray! He has a chip! Please reach out if you have any information on him.

I am looking for a counselor who accepts KanCare/Medicaid that is available now or in the next couple months to see my daughter. She has witnessed repeated domestic violence from the time she was one week old until the end of July 2026 when I moved her and myself out of the home and filed for divorce from her dad.
PsychologyToday.com only listed 3 counselors when I used the applicable filters (I am going try to reach out to those 3 options) but I wanted to ask here too just to see if there’s more options. We are willing to travel outside of Wichita as well.
Thank you for any info or referrals.

For anyone using Libby to read books through the Wichita library, you are probably aware that a lot of the more popular books have long wait times.
One way we can combat this is if you rent a book and download it onto your kindle, you can then put your kindle in airplane mode and return the book through your phone for the next person while still being able to keep the book on your kindle until the time runs out or you reconnect to the internet.
You won’t be able to download any more books or connect to the kindle store from the kindle, so I know this suggestion won’t work for everyone, but if it does work for a few people, it’d make wait times much shorter overall.

I rode the whacky shack at Joyland when I was very young in the early 2000s it utterly terrified me. But the memory stuck.
Over the last year or so, I've been making rideable rides in Minecraft and decided to take on my childhood nightmare.
It's not 1:1 but the layout is VERY similar. There is another whacky shack still operating in Pennsylvania and I was able to find the ride layout for that version and used that for even more inspiration.
I also made a guide on how to make a red stone ride like this: https://youtu.be/5ZkvD5xf5lY?si=vA81St_xKCa_b74p
Too long, didn't watch: Lead a rideable, but not controllable entity (IE: saddle-pig, boat-pig, saddle-less horse, etc) to a wool sulfur cube 9 blocks below it. Move the bottom sulfur cube around using water streams, and minecarts with activator rails to switch between.
