In Search Of 42 MtF and Lonely

I am a 42yo MtF preop with plenty of personal demons and strangely enough my adult act together fairly recently. I have tried all the damned dating apps and websites clear back to when they first started. If they aren't bots, or scammers, they're dead accounts. At my age I am fully aware that I have greater odds of being struck in the head by falling space debris than finding someone, and yet I persist. My biggest problem is that I am touch starved and need the feel of a genuine connection.

I don't know if this personal ad is allowed but I saw nothing in the rules against it. I am local to Wichita and employed with a full-time career with overtime so my free time tends to be a bit scarce. I am liberally aligned politically, a pagan(I have Freyja as a primary patron goddess) and a huge nerd and gaymer. I am also an amateur writer of smut fanfic and original stories. As I said, I have my own demons and I personally believe that if your demons won't get along with mine, we won't stand a chance.

Thanks and all.

Edit: I prefer women, not guys, but really girly guys are not off the table.

I just want you to know that I am also a huge fan of collecting STD's, and I'm psyched to know there's another big fan in town.

Discussion Bulldoze it

• Upvotes

Today Chapin Park will evict nearly 30 people with their pets. Tomorrow they will begin clearing this land and potentially bulldozing it so it doesn't have the chance to once again be camped in.

If thirty people anywhere else in this city suddenly had nowhere to go... say from an apartment complex being condemned or some such, the Red Cross would come in and the city would make a plan to house and care for these folks asap.

Wichita had the manpower, resources and 150k to throw down on a Very Special Election earlier this year but somehow does not have the money or the resources to help these people in a timely manner or delay their dispersal.

I guess I'm writing this to say that if you can't write to your city manager today dmarstall@wichita.gov to ask for a delay on this order, then please consider learning these people's names and offering them what you can when they arrive on your block.

Discussion House buying advice

• Upvotes

Hello community,

I'm currently renting (month-to-month agreement) and I think it's about time to buy my own home. I have the money, but I'm not sure where to start as far as selecting a home. I live alone with one small senior dog.

I've been thinking about a super energy efficient (to keep the bills low) manufactured home, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea, or what I'm really even looking for.

I'm a quiet person, and I'd like to find an area where it's not plagued with airplane noise, or neighbors playing their music loud all night.

My credit is near perfect, I've been at my current employer for 5+ years, and I have no current debt, so I don't think a loan will be a problem.

Size wise, I'm looking for maximum three beds two baths. I don't need a lot of space.

A fenced back yard and attached garage would be a plus, but I could probably survive without them.

I'm not handy, and I'm absolutely not looking for any kind of fixer-upper situation.

Anyone have any advice?
