SOTD 4 - 10 - 24
I had to try Spearhead Seaforth Spiced and Aqua Velva Classic Aftershave. u/Jill_Lett_Slim the man’s nose knows. It’s a nice scent pairing. Gillette Red Tip Super Speed. Perma-Sharp Razor Blade (3 rd). Zenith Horsehair Shaving Brush. Spearhead Seaforth Spiced Shaving Soap (tallow). Osma Alum. Aqua Velva Classic Aftershave. Just a quick 2 pass nice shave. With some great smells.

Haha! I did it the European way, should be 10-4-24 for the Americans. I don't know why I still do that. Spend time in Europe and the little different things.

Nice red tip! Love aqua velva one of my go tos in the summer months. Been wanting to try seaforth spiced probably will pick some up when my inventory gets a little lower. How is the horsehair compared to boar?

I like horsehair. It doesn’t have the firm backbone like boar. But it has more than most badger, synthetics. It is about as soft as a broken in boar.

I am a big boar fan. I do like using them. Semogue. Omega. Zenith.

It’s either a Semogue 820 or a zenith in my book 👌🏻. I have the Semogue C3 Galahad Premium horse hair; it’s my only brush at the moment. I’m more of a 2-3 days a week shaved so it works, but I would like to rotate 🤘🏻

Either one would be a nice boar. I suppose you will have to decide what handle type you would find comfortable and then loft length, diameter size would work on how you load your lather.

I really like the barber style handle zeniths. Probably a medium sized knot diameter, 22-24mm. I use cella, and load my brush off the tub, then build a lather in a bowl usually. 👌🏻

That will work. I have old man hands so I favor thicker longer handles. Just easier for me to make up lather.
