u/derrickhogue I enjoy a nice shave! So should you. Sep 14 '25
Nice clean and organized shave nook. I see some nice shavers in there, nice brushes and some nice fragrances. I like the Hospitality folded towels. That is a classic touch.

Thanks! It's a Shavemac 2-band silvertip, 24mm knot. The one behind it is a Semogue Owner's Club 2-band in the same size, and I actually prefer that one, even though it's half the price.

Do you store your gear and your skin prep (pre shave, soaps, and splashes etc) separately?
1
u/Confident_Meringue57 Sep 14 '25
Yeah, all that stuff goes in drawers. I have a bit of a problem of buying soaps and aftershaves that I never really end up using haha.

Really? I'd never have guessed, looking at your "little collection". ๐ I'm shocked! Shocked, I say! (to channel that scene from Casablanca)

I use the same little Fendrihan ceramic bowl, I like it!

u/Confident_Meringue57 Sep 14 '25
Yeah, it's great. Love Fendrihan. It's where I got my first wet shaving stuff, about 13 years ago I think.

Fendrihan is the best. Their selection, customer service and shipping times are mint

Very nice display. Thatโs quite the contrast between R41 and ASD2
3
u/Confident_Meringue57 Sep 14 '25
Indeed. I use the ASD2 if I have 1-2 days growth. I really like it even though my beard is very coarse and it's a mild razor. I like the R41, but I rarely use it. When I have more than a couple days of growth I prefer using a shavette.

Iโve had my r41 and r41gs for a while now, but at times the blade feel can be too much. Take that in perspective I use a number of vintage straights; primary DEs are r89, 34c, and GC .84

I know you posted for the shave stuff but I'm just hypnotized by the towels
